Indianapolis IN, Evelyn Magley CEO of The Basketball League announced a new team coming in 2022 for Beaumont TX.  The new team will be called the Panthers and has as a primary partner Kendrick Perkins, (14 year NBA vet, 2008 @nba🏆 with the @celtics & current @espnpersonality).

@kendrickperkins is helping bring pro basketball to the Southeast TX community where he was born & raised.

Beaumont fits a great geographical piece for TBL as it ties Houston to Louisiana and helps it grow in the southeast…

“We are thrilled to have Beaumont be a big piece of our expansion plans and believe that having one of their favorite native sons help guide the program will be a nice jump start for exposure and allow for credibility with the team’s community engagement” – Evelyn Magley CEO TBL

“It was an easy decision! The moment my cousin Jay came to me with the idea I was all in. It was a no brainer. This is giving my home town something to be proud of. A chance to give those that didn’t have the opportunities we had a chance to be seen. An outlet. Something that kids can see and say, ‘I can do that’. We got Councilman AJ Turner on the line to find out what we needed to do to make it happen and the Magley’s made the rest easy.” – Kendrick Perkins Beaumont Panthers

Perkins joins fellow NBA vets, Steve Francis @steve_franchise3@houstonpush & Jerome “Junkyard Dog” Williams @junkyarddogjw@thevegasballers with team market ownership.

TBL is 2/3 thru season 4 with 29 teams vying for playoffs scheduled for early July.

The league is built on a philosophy of helping young men fulfill their dreams by showcasing their talents in front of local communities & grow as men through financial literacy classes. In exchange TBL encourages all of its athletes to leverage their “celebrity” by working with youth and encouraging them to succeed and believe in their life goals.
