Indianapolis IN, Evelyn Magley CEO of The Basketball League announces the newest expansion market has been awarded to Fresno CA.

The Fresno Fire is the 4th new market added this off season & 16th overall team for the 2021 season.

Owned and operated by Spencer Norman a California entrepreneur who also owns a successful team in another league.  He chose Fresno because of its demographics and tradition of supporting Basketball.

“Fresno geographically is central to all of California and Nevada, so as TBL expands west, our travel will be relatively modest.  Also there’s a great tradition of local and collegiate talent that comes from Fresno, so I am confident the market can support professional basketball” – Spencer Norman CEO Fresno Fire

As for TBL, it was only a matter of time until they went back west.

“We had nice success in Yakima WA, Mesquite NV and San Diego CA and know that our community focus approach does well in all markets.  Spencer’s interest and experience met a big criteria to build a solid market from which to grow.” – Evelyn Magley CEO TBL

The Fire will be holding tryout events all over Central & Northern California beginning in September.

TBL enters its 4th season in February 2021.
