BREAKING NEWS:
Indianapolis IN, the Pontiac Pharaohs become the newest Basketball Super League (BSL) team as they make the move from The Basketball League (TBL).
For BSL it is the 1st new organization added to the 2nd year league and brings the current total to 7 teams.   It is also the 1st team to be located in the United States and makes BSL truly a North American League.
For the Pharaohs it is a move into an opportunity to be a part of a league that starts earlier and plays a longer season at the highest level of competition under the NBA/Gleague in North America.
Pontiac MI is located next to Windsor ON and is a natural jump off point for the rest of the USA for the Canadian teams.
“Going into our third season (second season in Pontiac, MI) it’s exciting to be apart of the growth and expansion from our time spent in the TBL to the BSL. I’m fortunate to be able to bring professional basketball to my hometown as our city continues to rebuild and redefine itself. We don’t take being part of Pontiac’s foundation for granted and can only hope to continue to add value to the city that gave so much to me” – Chris Jackson TMO
“The Pharaohs are the pride of Pontiac and consistently bring many hundreds of enthusiastic fans out to their games. The team has lifted the morale of our community’s residents who show out in force in support of the Pharaohs.” – Tim Greimel, Pontiac Mayor
“As a league we have been impressed with the Phararohs commitment to growth and believe that Chris Jackson and his organization are primed to not only make the move but prosper in BSL.” Evelyn Magley BSL/TBL CEO
This is just the 1st announcement for BSL as more growth is expected yet this fall.
The BSL season will begin its ‘24-‘25 season on or before November 15 and will run through April.
