The H.L. Neblett Community Center has addressed the community’s needs since 1936, when the Community Recreation Council was established. We still are a beacon in the community we serve by providing programs and activities for all ages and to aid working families in providing excellent childcare services.

Mission
Shalimar Williams knows firsthand how life can be difficult outside of prison. So, she opened a coffee shop employing women who reentering society from prison, women that are having a hard time finding employment due to having a criminal record and women that are currently in drug treatment centers. Holy Beanz is in the Soul District of Portland, serving love, compassion and hope one cup at a time.
