Indianapolis IN, Evelyn Magley CEO announced a new expansion market is awarded to the Syracuse Stallions @syracusestallions

The Stallions join the Little Rock Lightning @lrlightning as expansion teams for the ‘’21 season joining the returning 12 teams to make @tbasketballleague a 14 team league.

They are moving into their 3rd year as an organization after having been a top team in the ABA.

“The Syracuse Stallions are excited to announce that we will be bringing professional basketball to Syracuse, NY as we have joined The Basketball League for the upcoming season! This move recognizes the Stallions as one of the elite organizations across the country and we could not be happier to join such a talent-rich league ran by proven, industry professionals.”

From day one, our mission was to create a safe, diverse, and family oriented environment where basketball fans of all ages can watch the game they love in one of the greatest basketball cities in the United States. We want to provide all youth, teens, and collegiate athletes with the inspiration and knowledge that all of our players were once in their shoes and with continued hard work, they have been able to further their careers beyond college basketball.

Heading into Year 2 as an organization, we asked ourselves “how can we become an organization that helps our players not only grow as players but also as role models, all while remaining a community first organization?” That was a simple solution for us and we immediately began attending and participating in community events that put our players and staff in direct contact with young athletes, fans, and their parents. Whether it was playing in Stallions vs. Staff games, attending walks to raise fund of Suicide Prevention, and hosting free Future Stallions Clinics, we made sure that all the fans we met wanted to support us by coming to see us take the floor. Our investment in our community led to a rapidly growing fan base of all ages from New York State.

In just two seasons as an organization, the Stallions have compiled an overall record of 43-4, one Final Four appearance, and one Northeast Regional Championship. With this success comes opportunities for our players to be recognized internationally. In the two years, we have seen players continue their careers in Australia, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, and Morocco. As it is a dream of our players to continue their careers internationally, it is our dream to help them in all ways to achieve that.

Joining The Basketball League for Year 3 will only bring more opportunities for fans of all ages, our players, our staff, and our organization to further grow the Syracuse Stallions organization into a well-recognized, professional basketball team throughout the entire State of New York.” Mike Sugamosto President/GM Syracuse Stallions

Geographically the Stallions will join the Albany Patroons, Jamestown Jackals and Tri-State Admirals in the Northeast Division.

“As a league we are thrilled to have a team with their focus on community, emerging fan base and geographic fit with our existing markets in New York and New Jersey. We are quite impressed with their organization as well. Their quality of play, community engagement, marketing and in game fan experience is at a very high level. I am confident they will fit nicely in our league.” Evelyn Magley CEO TBL.
